3 in 1 God?

3 in 1 God?

We had that question about the Trinity at our Wednesday night meeting and this was my answer.

I explained that I had the same question many years ago and kept asking God to give me an answer that I would be at peace with, so I started to explain what God showed me with a question:

“Does anyone know what the chemical compound for water is?”

Someone answered – “H2O”

“Yes, that is correct. Does anyone know what the chemical compound for ice is?”

No one knew so I answered with a chill in my voice “H2O”

“Does anyone know what the chemical compound is for steam?”

Many answered with while wiping the steam off their forehead, “H2O”

“We understand that no matter what state H2O is in, water, ice or steam, H2O is always H2O. Each state that H2O can be in has a purpose but it is still H2O.

“Does anyone know what the Spiritual compound for God is?” I knew that no one would understand my question so I answered it before they felt uncomfortable. “G.O.D. is the Spiritual compound for God.”

“Does anyone know what the Spiritual compound for the Son is?”

One weak “G.O.D.?”

With a nod of ‘correct answer’, I continued, “Does anyone know what the Spiritual compound for the Father is?”

Many answered, “G.O.D.”

“Does anyone know what the Spiritual compound for the Holy Spirit is?”

All answered with a smile, “G.O.D.”

“We understand that no matter what state G.O.D. is in, Father, Son or Holy Spirit, G.O.D. is always G.O.D.. Each state that G.O.D. can be in has a purpose, but it is still G.O.D.”

They all understood this but I told them that there is much more to the Trinity than we can understand but this was good enough for me to be at peace.
