Each ingredient has a link in case you need to order them.
INGREDIENTS:
-
¾ cup walnuts (you can add almonds and pistachios if you want something different)
-
½ cup rolled of quick oats (or Shredded coconut)
-
1 cup Medjool dates, roughly chopped
-
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
-
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
-
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
-
¼ teaspoon of each - Chia seed, Flaxseed, Hemp seed (They add oil and protein)
COATING INGREDIENTS:
Once you have made a round ball of the date mixture, you can roll the ball into any coating mixture. But I like them with no coating:
-
Shredded coconut, any crushed nuts, powdered sugar, almond flour, almost anything.
-
INSTRUCTIONS:
-
Add all ingredients to a high powdered blender or food processor and pulse until the dates and walnuts are broken up into small pieces and the mixture sticks together(It takes some time). If your mixture is too dry add a couple more dates. You may need to stop to scrape the sides down occasionally.
-
Transfer the mixture to a small bowl for easier rolling. Scoop out 1 tablespoon of the mixture at a time and roll into little balls.
-
Place into the refrigerator to cool
-
Store these in the refrigerator for up to a week.
-
NOTES
Soak the dates in hot water for about 10 minutes before blending if your blender struggles to break apart dates.
